Wood-Fired Ceramic Bottles

Wood-Fired Ceramic Bottles

from 100.00

These 10 bottles were wheel-thrown using stoneware clay. They were then wood-fired in an Anagama kiln, a 5-day firing process in which the burning wood produces ash that glazes the clay in rich shades of brown and orange. In addition to the ash, additional glazes were manually applied to some of the bottles prior to firing. Two pieces also had copper wire wrapped around them which melted onto the piece when fired, creating a contrasting matte black drip.

Bottles range from 6 to 11" in height.

*Please note that the tallest bottle (BT10) is open on the bottom.
